Monster Hunter Freedom getting new quests

Capcom is releasing two new quests, Kut Ku Festival and Tenchi Kyouran, for its PSP game in Japan beginning August 30.

Monster Hunter Freedom has been a strong seller for the Sony PlayStation Portable in Japan, having moved almost 600,000 copies since its release earlier this year. It was also the recipient of the "Excellence Award" at the 2005 Famitsu Awards. Monster Hunter Portable, as it's known in Japan, will be getting a couple of new downloadable quests this month according to the game's official Web site.

Gamers can download the new content via the PSP's wireless infrastructure mode starting August 30 at 2 p.m. The first quest, titled Kut Ku Festival, requires the player to bag two or more Yian Kut Ku within a given time limit. The other quest, Tenchi Kyouran, also sets a time limit within which the player must take down a Rathian and Rathalos. These quests join 16 others that have been made available to users in Japan since the game launched.

The kut ku quest is unlimited MINI kut ku's in the arena. The other one involves gold and silver raths in the arena. Just thought I would clear up what the quests were.

It's laughable how many people apparantly either do not read, or do not understand the two small paragraphs before posting their opinion.

Why don't they patch the terrible controls first? I mean the game is pretty cool but the attacks are so stupid and slow and they totally take control away from you. Or just make a new one where you can actually level up instead of relying entirely on your armor stats.

Monster Hunter Freedom is treble mostly because there is no on-line play which is needed. and only two more quests?!

Wait, why do we not have these quest! Its just not fair. Just because the game isn't as popular here are it is in Japan doesn't mean they should just leave us out of it. Grrr.

I would love there to be a way to download infrastructure for the game would bring more life into the game. To think that Japan gets infrastructure play and they always say they do not need it and in the US and Europe we want it and do not get it. So that stinks but if we could download infrastructure and these news quests that would rock.

For those that are unable to read plain English;

Monster Hunter Portable, as it's known in Japan, will be getting a couple of new downloadable quests this month according to the game's official Web site.

Gamers can download the new content via the PSP's wireless infrastructure.

For those that aren't aware, the NA/EU MHF does not come with an infrastructure mode from which you can download missions, unlike the Japanese version. Secondly, the quests are only listed on the Japanese website, not the American/EU site. This leads one to assume that it's a Japan-only promotion..

..Therefore, why bother reporting about it? I happily clicked on the link expecting maybe to download the missions from yourpsp.com or something and play them regularly, like you would with Wipeout Pure or whatever. Putting up a link that only says 'MHF' (the American/EU name, I might add) leads to blatent misconception. Change the article name to 'Japan gets new MHF Quests' or something.
